 Programme Director

Dr Peter D. Cockcroft MA, MSc, VetMB, DCHP, DipECBHM, DVM&S MRCVS MILT

Peter is a veterinarian and has been teaching farm animal medicine at the Cambridge Veterinary School for 11 years . He has spent 7 years working in farm animal private practice in the UK and 6 years working in Southern Africa. He is a member of the Institute for Learning and Teaching. He has a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and a Master of Science degree in Tropical Animal Health and Production. He has a RCVS Diploma in Cattle Health and Production and is also a Diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management. He is a RCVS Specialist (Dairy Cattle) and a European Veterinary Specialist in Bovine Health. Peter has written 3 books, ‘Clinical Examination of Farm Animals’, ‘Handbook of Pig Medicine’ and ‘Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine’. He has 33 scientific publications.
